RIP Etta James

Sadly, today the world has lost a much loved Soul Sister, Etta James (Jamesetta Hawkins).  Unfortunately Etta lost her battle with Leukaemia.  However, we are sure she has gone to a better place where she cane rest in peace.

Etta's hit song At Last was sung by Beyonce to President Obama!  If that alone does not show how great Etta is, nothing will.  She has achieved a lot of success in her life and she will not be forgotten.

dearLeopard is thinking of all you guys and dolls who are battling any sort of Illness, stay strong!

The Royal Leopard Showdown =)

So the beginning of this week was the Duchess of Cambridge's birthday, so we thought that we had to do something to celebrate Kate's Catherine's 30th Birthday!!

So we thought we'd find some lovely picture of the Royal's Rocking Leopard print.

Above we have on the left...Pippa Middleton's casual day out where she looks chic in a Leopard shirt and Jeans.  Then we have Kate in the middle and on the right.  Kate has Leoparized her dress with that gorgeous clutch and rock black and white in a STYLISH royal kind of way =)

Here is a pic of Queen Elizabeth II in a Leopard coat, probably watching the horse's haha, I bet that's something you didn't think you'd ever see...well we were surprised anyway.

But saying that, we're proud as punch because our Queen secretly has style LOL!  And it's so nice to see her smiling...no stiff upper lip here.

Welcome Baby Blue-Ivy!

Our QUEEN of R&B and KING of HipHop have given birth to their 1st baby yesterday 7th January 2012!

@dearLeopard want to Welcome Baby Blue-Ivy to the world!

Congratulations Beyonce and Shawn (Jay-Z) and their families on their new arrival.

We wish them all the best and hope you enjoy the pics of the beautiful Diva Beyonce perfectly modelling Leopard Print before and throughout her pregnancy.

P.s. be assured that we will be looking out for what Beyonce dresses Blue-Ivy in and we're sure Leopard Print will feature...fingers crossed!

Controversial - My Leopard Tattoo!

Well we think its controversial anyway!  You only have to scour the web for the publics opinion's on Leopard print tattoo's and you will find some for it and some against it.  Some people even have one or are wishing for one.

So we hear you ask, Where does dearLeopard stand on this controversy?

Well you know we love Leopard otherwise this blog absolutely would not exist!  But do you know what, we value our body a whole lot more.  Some may say having a Leopard print tat would add to that value, but for us......hmmmm we're WAY to scared of needles, injections, or anything that physically hurts LoL!

So some of you are probably saying "what hypocrites, claiming to be the biggest lovers of leopard and they are turning their back on a Leopard print tattoo"  Well in our defence, some people love certain foods in the way that we love leopard but they would not eat and eat and eat until they are physically sick because they know when ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

OK OK most people know when enough is enough but I'm sure you get our point?  So at this time dearLeopard do not advocate for Leopard tattoo's and that may have something to do with the pain from the process more than anything else but there it is.

However, don't get us wrong, if you have a leopard print tattoo or are getting one, GO You!!! And we'd love to see it!  But we'll be sticking to garments and accessories to demonstrate our leopard L.O.V.E!
